I found this at The Daily What, and, oh, a ton of other websites. All I can think of is…isn’t the sky really, really big? I mean, tremendously big? How does an eagle collide with a paraglider? The action begins at about 25 seconds. Thankfully, the Eagle survives, hopefully with only some bruises. The un-entanglement is about 08:30 to 10:30.

The Horribly Slow Murder
I’ve posted this at least once, but it’s truly a classic.

It's called tough love. It's horrendous at times, and it's f***ing impossible to figure it all out, but it's there. And it's malevolent at times, yes.

A few links and whatnots.
The Three Little Bops – a 1957 Jazz take on The Three Little Pigs. I remember this fondly from my childhood (although I’m not old enough to have seen this clip when it was new), and it still makes me smile.
Elmo makes a pregnant woman’s day.
A tribute to the film scores of John Barry, who passed away earlier this year.
A list of the oldest people, ever. This is verifiable. Sorry Bible thumpers.
Unemployment rates verses the your education level. This means that I (with my Associates degree) have roughly the same ability to find a job as a High School grad in 2008. I love this economy. At least I’ll finally earn my Bachelors in Business this spring (along with a second Associates, in Graphic Design this time). That will hopefully keep me employed in jobs I enjoy, or at least can make some decent money doing.
A Southwest Airlines pilot holds the plane for the family of a murder victim. This one is an oldie (from last January), but it still warms my heart.
The album title game! I love this one. You piece together an album, band-name, and album cover picture from various randoms sources. The link has some examples.
Twelve memorable All In The Family moments. Sadly, “Gloria isn’t piercingly annoying” was no where to be found on the list.
The story behind “The Oregon Trail” computer game that a whole bunch of Americans played in school as children.

The Flash (1990). Episode: The Trixter.
A few things, briefly. First, The Flash was a short-lived (but pretty entertaining) TV show based on the DC character “The Flash” (duh). Second, the voice of The Joker in about 80% of the DC cartoons in the last 20 years has been Mark Hamill. Third, Mark Hamill plays The Trixter on this episode of The Flash, using a voice fairly similar to the voice he uses for The Joker.
So, to fans of Mark Hamill, this is as close as you’ll get to him doing a live-rendition of The Joker.

A Few Links For Ya
One of the creepiest old calendars I’ve ever seen. I want one.
Songs that have been ruined by song montages.
The gorgeous Raquel Welch, at her prime, hung on a cross for Esquire Magazine (never published). Wow and holy crap, she’s hot. And this is so wrong. Conflicting emotions…
The 50/50 Savings Bank. It’s like Plinko, but for your piggy-bank coinage.
Lessons that other movie series’ can learn from James Bond.
Penny postcards from Minnehaha County, South Dakota (my home-county). You can also look up counties from all of the nation, like Loudoun County, Virginia (my current habitation).
The evolution of Good Housekeeping from the 1880′s to the 1930′s.
A message to the future, from 1959.
Ah, Native American stereotyping from the 1960′s. How quaint.
Tiger vs. Squirrel. Unfortunately, zoo employees stepped in. I think it would have been awesome to see the tiger hunt, catch, kill, and eat her/his dinner, as he was made to do.

A Brit Taking Mescaline
So, let’s get the guy who coined the term “psychedelic”, and have him give mescaline to a member of the British Parliament, and then film it.

Dial-Up Kid
This was one of my favorite songs/noises as a kid, especially when I was playing Trade Wars 2002 on Multiverse in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Or checking out YEBB or Dakota Infonet. Great times. I’m getting all teary-eyed.

To Allie, from Hyperbole and a Half
I found this earlier, and I thought it was appropriate. Allie writes and draws Hyperbole and a Half. She’s had a nearly 6-months unannounced hiatus, but yesterday’s comic kind of explains why. Hang in there Allie, and it’s good to have you back.
